Kalbarri Bicycle Parade – Bikeweek 2010

As part of Cycle Instead Bikeweek 2010, we are proud to announce the Kalbarri Bicycle Parade.

It is at 10 AM – 12 PM Saturday 27th March 2010, starting at the corner of Clotworthy St and Grey St in Kalbarri.

There is a ride to Sally’s Tree, which is near the mouth of the river. There will be bicycle events, games, sausage sizzles, stalls, giveaways and a prize for best dressed bike. Participation is free.

Feel Like a Quiet Bicycle Ride in Kalbarri?

Now that the school holidays are over, most of the tourists have returned home and if you are still on holidays in Kalbarri, have you thought about a bicycle ride along the foreshore?

You can ride further than just the foreshore. Why not follow the great path network along the cliffs and take in some of that spectacular scenery. It's a great ride and definitely worth it if you are on holiday or visiting Kalbarri.

You can ride the Kalbarri Town Path, the Eco Flora Cycle Path, or the Melaleuca Cycle Walk Path.

Cycle Instead Bikeweek - the State’s annual celebration of recreational and commuter cycling is set to celebrate its Silver Anniversary.

Now into the 25th year, Bikeweek 2010 will be 8 days of community cycling activities that showcase the fun aspects of riding a bicycle for every family member, and how it can play a significant part in reducing waistlines, addressing climate change and helping with the household budget.

New Web Site Launched

We are proud to announce the launch of our new web site. It has replaced the old one. Being near the end of the year we decided to launch our new site in readiness for the new year.

Our web master has been working behind the scenes for the last week, and advises us that the site is now live. He is still busy loading material to the site. This will be happening over the next few weeks.

We are proud to announce that the "Bicycle Touring With a Toilet" article is back. Read it and see it here. This was a popular article on previous year's web sites, so we decided to bring it back for your amusement. BicycleWA was first with a toilet in a BOB trailer.

Also planned for the new year is the solution to the old Presta vs Shrader valve debate.
